About
SHINE
Shine Arts Alliance, formally known as Ellnish Art Alliance, was founded in 2009, by Shinelle Graves Brinson, Temple University alumni and recent Drexel University masters recipient of Philadelphia, Pa. This arts organization thrived with musical theatre programs. Over the years hundreds of children gained the opportunity to learn and participate in musicals written or revamped under Shinelle leadership. Her original material includes: Spring Out, Barbie Dreamers and Africa’s Promise. Shinelle went on to achieve other things with her company that impacted the inner-city community such as the Annual “Philly Kids Are Stars” Talent Showcase, Annual Community festivals where children in the community got to show their talent on a live stage and offering free bookbags, supplies and food to underserved communities. In 2019 Shinelle created the Black Out Loud Expo to celebrate black arts and culture with a fashion show and talent showcase. Then in 2020 she ventured out into the media world and created a collaborative dance video with dance artists of various backgrounds to encourage, inspire and uplift the artists during a challenging pandemic. Now Shine AA is resuming its quality arts and academic programming in schools offering after school and summer programs. Shine lives by its motto , "we assure the arts light a spark in your heart."
